Starting at 55.
Chasing 48 Peaks. One Laugh at a Time.

No six-pack. No ultralight religion. Just a regular guy who decided—at 55—that getting healthier and tackling New Hampshire’s 4,000-footers sounded like a reasonable next chapter.

This is my journey through sweat, setbacks, sore knees, and the kind of small wins that only matter when you’ve earned them. I’m not here to be the fastest or the fittest—I’m here to show up, keep moving, and prove that adventure doesn’t expire with age.

If you’re in your fifties (or getting close) and wondering if it’s too late to do something hard, uncomfortable, and completely worth it… welcome. You’re in the right place.

About Me

Hi, I’m 55, reasonably athletic, and stubborn enough to think climbing all 48 of New Hampshire’s 4,000-footers sounded like a good idea.

I like hard climbs, earned turns, and goals that make me slightly uncomfortable. This isn’t about chasing speed or perfection—it’s about staying capable, staying active, and enjoying the adventure while I’m still able to say “yes” to it.
